A distributed expert database system was designed and populated on geographically distant locations. The data were maintained by experts individually and later merged using multi-master replication. Decision support analysis of a projected software system merger

Consulting in a series of strategy planning sessions on a projected merge of two application systems. Once having a common root but later branching wide apart due to differences in the market strategy, a US-based and a European company created a mutual project in order to analyse the benefits of a possible merge of their core IT systems. Data and function modeling for a claims management system

A major data model and related functional reengineering in a claims management system. This project completed the series of migration phases started years earlier and enabled the complete conversion to a 3-tier architecture. Conversion of a mainframe-based expert system

First in a series of reengineering projects of a leading claims management solution company. A proprietary expert database system was migrated from a mainframe onto a client-server architecture. Functional and data interfaces to the production database were provided in order to keep numerous satellite systems temporarily unchanged. Transparent data access and synchronisation on inhomogeneous systems were designed and implemented. The application is was later enhanced and maintained by us for several years. As a consulting partner of a leading database company we were assigned to a database tuning project at an international insurance company (life and pension).
